Currently Digging: Ruche Picks

 shopruche.com
Something about a season change makes us really want to shop. That, plus Ruche's Win Clothes for a Year contest (yes, really!) brought us to their site this evening. The idea of free clothes for a year is something to truly dig, are we right?! Plus, all their stuff is amazing all the time. Clothes and these books are on our summer wishlists for sure!

Holli Anne's Picks

I'll keep this short and simple. I adore this dress. I've been wanting some new shorts that aren't for running, and I'm super picky about shorts, so these are adorable and perfect. And this shirt I obviously need to wear with my new shorts! Ah, pick me to win, Ruche!

Tyler Anne's Picks

I pretty much just am head over heels for books in general. Add Ruche to the mix and I come away with the three books above that I'm goo goo over. The 5 Book is all about where you will be in five years. It is a guide of sorts to help you live your life to the fullest with inspiration, questions, and examples of well-lived lives. Creative Walls smiles at the designer in me as an interior decor book with stunning pictures and unique and inspiring ideas for decorating your walls. The last book I found on Ruche is called Missed Connections and, honestly, I want it the most. It's all about love and what ifs with wonderful artwork to adore throughout. I highly suggest you check out its page here. It has an example page that says, "Throat Tattoo on the L Train. Hey, guy that got on at 1st Ave dressed in black with the throat tattoo. Thanx for existing." It reminds me of Post Secret, without all of the depressing stuff.

I want all three of these books with a fiery passion! Thank you Ruche for existing.

Holli Wants: Summer Ruche Swimwear

Summer Ruche Love

Summer Ruche Love (Click there to see each of these items separately)

The weather in the south is being awesome this week. It's that perfect not-too-hot, not-too-cold temperature.

I find myself daydreaming of laying out on the beach and soaking up the sun (with loads of sunscreen because I am VERY pale), and luckily for me, my husband's band plays a lot of shows at the beach this time of year.

All these things, plus Ruche's awesome swimsuit collection popping up in my Facebook newsfeed, have me doing a little window shopping.

I'm a pretty shy person when it comes to my swimwear. I want to be in the ocean. I do not want to be half-naked in the ocean. That's just me!

I am drawn to these swimsuits by Ruche because they are oh, so classy! They take the classic swim wear and put an awesome modern twist.

So, these are my favorites, and while I'm super indecisive on swim suit selections, hopefully one of these bad boys will make their way into my closet this season.

What about you? Have you found any nice swim suits for this summer?

Online Shopping: Bridesmaid Dress

Three bridesmaid dress rules you can (and we did) break:

1. You have to have each bridesmaid in the same dress (make, color, etc.).
2. They should all be purchased from the same store.
3. Stay away from purchasing your dress online.

I'm not getting married but it's #hollicon time and that means time for me to buckle down with my bridesmaid getup. This is my first time as a bridesmaid so I'm nervous about wrecking THE ENTIRE WEDDING! But, surely I can't do that?

Luckily, it's Miss Holli Anne getting hitched. Therefore she's the outfit commander--the yay or nay sayer. Now, why would she say yay or nay if she was just picking out all of our dresses? Because Holli is creative and has decided to just give us her wedding colors and let US pick out our wedding swag.

She gave us a few guidelines to follow (for instance, no white in the dress) and left us to our own devices.

I found that there is such a thing as too many options. The world was my oyster but I didn't know what to do with it. Also, I'm on a budget which made things all the harder.

Until I remembered that I follow the blogs of some of the coolest online clothing stores that had the same "feel" as Holli's future wedding.

Here are four sites I completely recommend for shopping everything wedding on a budget:

ModCloth
ChicWish
Ruche
Sosie

I wanted to find a teal dress (one of my favorite colors) so I cracked down on these four sites. Finally I found and fell in love with this beauty.

This Lucky Star Pleated Dress is beautiful, fun, and can be used more than once. I am beating the stereotype of having an awful bridesmaid dress that I will throw in the back of my closet after the wedding. This dress is something I can and will definitely wear after the wedding. That was a very important aspect of Holli deciding to go the less traditional route in bridesmaid dresses--she didn't want us to spend a lot of money on something we'd only wear once!

I must say I am beyond happy with Ruche's quickness in mailing the dress to me (it took four days and I didn't pay for fast shipping). Not to mention the packaging was too cute! (I would show you but it will be cropping up in a future DIY!)

I still am shopping for shoes (they get to be red!) and accessories. Where would you suggest I shop? Is there an online store that you just absolutely love?

Accessory Crushing: Teal + Yellow

I've been seriously jonesing to revamp my accessory collection. Luckily, since I'm getting married, I have a good excuse to shop...right?! (RIGHT?!)

I'm a huge fan of Modcloth and Ruche, which is probably a silly statement because I'm pretty sure that's almost a given. Regardless, just know I've been semi-obsessively Internet window shopping the past few weeks.

While I pretty much love everything, I've gathered a few of my favorite teal and yellow goodies that I seriously just might buy. (Yellow's not a wedding color but somehow it keeps creeping into my event...oops!).

This late dining heel from Modcloth. This March Heels in Teal from Ruche. This Rock the Weekend Ring from Modcloth. This Teal Glow Hinged Ring set from Ruche.

Oh and definitely this Lemonade My Day heel from Modcloth. My goodness, these Modern Elegance Peep Toe Pumps from Ruche. I'd never turn down these Earthly Riches Bangles Set from Ruche OR this Amber Fate Necklace from Ruche.

Hope you like my picks!
