Edward Fieder Photography

If you hadn't noticed, I added a sidebar of links to sites/blogs of people that inspire me. Well, Edward Fieder is one of them! I met him in college and we are still friends today. So, why would I not share him with the rest of you?

Here are a few of my favorites from Edward Fieder Photography!

Enjoy!

Late Night DIY: Mini Piñata

I never thought I'd tell myself that I need to practice making piñatas but low and behold that's what I said just minutes ago.

See, I'm planning a party in the next few months and was trying out different ideas I had found on the web. You know, cool DIY projects and the like. When I saw a mini piñata I just had to try it. So I got a cereal box out, found some tissue paper and grabbed some tape and glue and got to work.

It did not go as I had expected. This DIY project should be done during the day when sleepiness isn't a factor and playing loud music isn't frowned upon. Either way, I spent a good hour on Bobby the Piñata (and I only did the one side!)  so I'm going to share my dramatic-looking pictures of the less-than-perfect job this sleepy blogger performed. (I will do this again very soon!)

Doesn't Bobby look so intense?

Burst of Inspiration

Sometimes you find something that just inspires you immediately. This is exactly what this stamp did while I doing my weekly Hobby Lobby browse.

I had to buy it.

What usually inspires you?

Late Night DIY: Clementine Candle

Let me start off by saying how proud I am of the above picture. While pinning I found an old Apartment Therapy DIY project. It's called How To: Make a Clementine Candle and it looked too cool to pass up.

So I went to Walmart, got my supplies and sat my happy butt down and made my own clementine candle! You should try it too! It's easy and fun!

Keep reading to see how it's done!

Color Crush: Yellow & Pink

I used to DESPISE the color pink. I avoided it and loved blue instead (which is still my favorite color). However, I can't help starting to like it. Now, on top of this new development, I can't get away from loving on the coupling of yellow and pink!

So here's my current color crush!

Random Find: Photo Cabine

I LOVE photo booths. I loved them when I was little and I still love them now. My refrigerator is a smorgasbord of pics taken over the years in photo booths. So when I found Photo Cabine, I literally squealed in delight.

Crush Thursday #2

Yum, yum, yum Kate Spade. This isn't the first crush I've had on the Kate Spade line and I'm sure it won't be the last. When I feel more comfortable spending $100+, Kate Spade will be the first purchases I make.

Enjoy!

Office Progress

Here's a quick (blurry) picture of the once bare wall above my desk! It may not look like much but it brightens the room and makes me feel creative!

Office Redo Update!

What's the opposite of progress? Regress? Whatever it may be, my tackling of the office CCD (reference) and basic office redo looks like I've taken five steps backwards rather than any steps forward. However, I have an odd organization process that makes everything look a lot worse than it actually is, so it's fine!

I work from home, for those who aren't aware, and also live in the tiniest apartment. These two facts together can be frustrating beyond belief. The second bedroom acts as my office, my library and the guest bedroom. This is why my workspace has been pushed into the corner and many things (including my books that refuse to fit into the bookcase) have been stacked and crammed into plastic containers.

This. Is. A. Problem.

If I have to, I can work and be creative without a working workspace. BUT it doesn't make sense not to love or use your workspace!

Here's my corner of doom before I did anything. (The horror, THE HORROR!)

Originally I drew this. A few things have changed but this is basically what I am going to do!
(I never said I could draw!)

Next I decided it was time to de-clutter, something a pack rat finds almost impossible! So what did I do? I put everything in the middle of the room!

Since this picture was taken I have put up shelves and reduced my clutter by half. However, I am still trudging through the rest.

So why did I even put up this post of shameful pictures of my (now) very messy office?

I want you to take the time to go through your clutter and get rid of the things you don't need! Fellow pack rats, keeping random things through the years isn't worth the hassle later when you need to redo a room or move!

Trust me!

Don't mind if I ban.do!

I love ban.do! I really, really do!

All of their items are unique, fun and presh! Today I moseyed over there after an unintentional hiatus from their site and squeaked with joy at the new arrivals. Below are four of my favorites! Must-haves that have been added to my list of online purchases I need to make in the near future.

Enjoy!

1.) Sunburst bobbi set: $20
2.) Chiffon girlie bow (my FAV): $25

Crush Thursday #1

It may be strange but I've always been a fan of Thursday. It's a step away from the start of the weekend and far enough away from Monday that most people are in a good mood. So why not do Crush Thursday?

Every Thursday I will pick four items/styles whether they be fashion or interiors that I love but can't exactly afford. Things I have a crush on!

Because, let's be real, half of the crushes we have are the unobtainable kind! (Though I'm still holding out for Ian Somerhalder!)

So enjoy this Crush Thursday: Serena and Lily!

Elle Love: L Love?!

Oh Elle

Your email newsletters are the greatest. Instead of going to your site and going through everything (though that isn't a bad idea at all) you cut right to the chase and let me know what's up!

Thank you!

Today's New York Fashion Week's Street Style pics are wonderfully inspiring and completely creative! I couldn't help but repost some of my favorite looks from out and about at NYFW! Not to mention we have a few professional bloggers in this mix!

Enjoy!
